Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch

Mega Lopunny pairs well with either of Hoopa-U's sets as Hoopa-U easily destroys bulky Psychics, Mega Venusaur, Fairy-types (if running Gunk Shot), Mega Scizor (if running HP Fire) and Skarmory (if running Thunderbolt). In return, Mega Lopunny takes care of Pokemon which attempt to prey on Hoopa-U's low Speed such as Bisharp, Heatran, Landorus-T and Keldeo. However, the core is prone to being cleaned up by Talonflame so a strong check to it is necessary.
I really like Baton Pass over Ice Punch on Lop especially when you pair it with Hoopa-U and considering the amount of switches Lopunny can force, it really picks up a lot of momentum.

Yeah, it generates tons of momentum with BP but personal preference leads me to choose Ice Punch to put the hurt on Garchomp and Lando-T

Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EV's: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch / Baton Pass
- Fake Out

Medicham forms an incredible Wallbreaking duo with AoA Hoopa-U.
Can we aim for at least two lines? I don't think saying "oh they both wallbreak therefore they're good partners" is a sufficient description.

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flamethrower

Manectric is a solid offensive teammate for Azumarill because its one of the best momentum grabbers in the tier. Its insane speed tier allows it to almost outrun the entire tier while threatening teams with its amazing Fire / Ice / Electric coverage. It threatens Azumarills faster offensive checks such as Talonflame, Latis, and Gengar while being able to pressure slower answers such as Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss

Reserving Celebi. o:

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 84 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Baton Pass / Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock / Healing Wish

A more defensive option, Celebi can be an excellent partner to Choice Band Azumarill. Celebi checks powerful Electric types such as Thundurus and Mega Manectric. In return, Azumarill switches into common Dark, Fire, and Ice Pokemon, eliminating them with its STAB's and coverage. Celebi can also make use of it's support options, such as Baton Pass to give Azumarill a free switch into a threat, Thunder Wave to slow down faster opponents, and Healing Wish to give Azumarill second life in wall-breaking.

Nasty Plot Thundurus-I lol

Thundurus @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Flying
- Focus Blast

Nasty Plot Thundurus wreaks havoc against Skarmory, Ferrothorn, Mega Venusaur or Mega Scizor, which are common answers to Azumarill. It also deals huge damage to bulky Waters which puts Banded Azumarill in a guessing game. Azumarill helps Thundurus to defeat Dragon-types (Lati@s, Goodra) and Hippowdon. If you use this core, be wary of Raikou and Mega Manectric though.

Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball

Dual hazards Ferrothorn is a very effective partner for Banded Azumarill, as ferro can cover the electric and steel type attacks that threaten Azumarill while being a pretty sturdy wall in general. The hazard support that Ferrothorn provides for a team can be useful for weakening opposing teams down so that Azumarill can clean up with its powerful stab moves late game.

Reserving Heatran (again!)

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power/ Stone Edge
- Flash Cannon/ Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

Look at this. Well Heatran is a pretty obvious choice forming half of an infamous dual core. Heatran Azu Mega sceptile. But anyway lemme explain Heatran can safely deal with every grass type in ou which isn't a lure. Stone edge beats thundurus. Earth Power beats mega manectri and raikou . Fire blast roasts steels such as ferro and stuff also beating skarm. Well it's a pretty obvious choice but really effective so have fun xD

Gothitelle @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 168 HP / 252 SpA / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Trick

Here is a personal gothitelle moveset I use when I need to pair it with specific teammates, including Azumarill. Thanks to shadow tag, goth can get rid efficiently of Azumarill's slow threats : Venusaur-Mega, Amoonguss, Tentacruel, Ferrothorn, some scald users like quagsire, keldeo, slowbro but also Skarmory, Foretress, Dragalge...
Gothitelle can also use trick against bulky pokemons Azumarill isn't able to kill when spamming recovery moves : Cresselia, Clefable, Celebi, Jirachi.
A scarf version may also be used to deal more efficiently with faster threats like Breloom, Keldeo, Venusaur, Rotom-w.
Please note that Gothitelle alone is not enough to cover all Azumarill's problems but it makes a good offensive partner that fits well in hyper offense teams.

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Swords Dance
-Brave Bird
-Flare Blitz
-Roost

Because if the XY metagame taught us anything, it's that the answer is always Talonflame
Swords Dance Talonflame makes for an excellent partner to Azumarill because it puts a lot of pressure on Azumarill's checks/ counters and both can enable the other to clean up games. Talonflame can switch into pokemon such as Scizor and Skarmory, scaring them out, while decimating fat water resists like Mega Venasaur, Ferrothorn, and Tangrowth after a swords dance. Azumarill pressures the physically bulky fire/flying resists that come in on Talonflame such as Landorus-T and Garchomp. Azumarill complements Talonflame by helping shatter defensive cores, and Talonflame checks certain mons that can revenge kill Azumarill, for example, faster priority-weak mons like mega Alakazam, or the Lati twins.

Alternatively, banded Talonflame can be used as a late-game cleaner and provide U-turn support to bring Azumarill in safely to wreak havoc.

Obviously both are quite weak to electrics in general, so a third mon with a solid answer to electric types is suggested when building a core around Azu + Talon.

I got one.

Breloom @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Swords Dance
- Spore

One of the things that typically annoy cb azu would be bulky waters such as suicune, slowbro etc due to how they can pretty much always take anyone of azus attacks and threaten azu out with a potential burn or use azu for set up. Breloom for this reason makes for a great partner due to his ability to beat water types with his technician boosted bullet seed which allows breloom to remove bulky water types for azu so that azumarill can wallbreak better. Breloom also weakens a lot of things so that azumarill can later on pick them off with CB aqua jet.

Garchomp @ Yache Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge

Swords Dance Garchomp is a nice partner for Azumarill because it can lure Thundurus, Mega Manectric and Raikou and OHKO them back with Stone Edge or Earthquake. Garchomp's STABs and Swords Dance allows it to power through Magnezone, Dragalge, Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn. In return, Azumarill helps Garchomp to check Mega Altaria, Landorus-T and Weavile.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Suicune hates Grass types and that's where Torn-T comes in. Torn-T is a safe switch into nearly every Grass type in the tier, though it risks Glare from Serperior and Rock Tomb from Breloom, while Suicune can beat the Rock, Ground, and Steel types that can wall Tornadus-T

Clefable

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethrower

Clefable is an excellent partner for Tornadus-T, because they eliminate and / or set up on each others Checks and Counters. Clefable can switch in on and set up on powerful Electric types, most notably Rotom-W. In return, Tornadus-T can weaken Steel types, especially Heatran with Superpower, while also eliminating Gengar with Knock Off and Mega Venusaur with Hurricane.

reserving keldeo

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind

In my opinion, the best partner for Tornadus-T. The former, remove Pokemon such as Latios, Starmie, Mega Venusaur and all other bulky grass of the tier, which are not appreciated by Keldeo, and the latter helps him against strong priority users, such as Mega Scizor, Bisharp and Weavile. Unfortunately, the core is weak to electric types and Talonflame, so i suggest you to close the core with a Pokemon like Hippowdon, which covers both weaknesses and provides Stealth Rock support.

Until May (Manectric) @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Hidden Power Ice

Mega Manectric forms a blisteringly fast volt-turn core with Tornadus-T and is a decent check to Thundurus, which Tornadus-T loathes. In return, Tornadus-T's Focus Blast or Superpower murders Heatran and Tyranitar, and Hurricane can do massive damage to Mega Venusaur, which Manectric has serious difficulty being able to defeat. It also can check Pokemon like Scarf Landorus who might be locked into Earthquake. Both can pivot out of unfavorable situations and takes advantage of Tornadus-T's Regenerator while grabbing fantastic momentum. The fact that Manectric's Intimidate can soften physical blows from Pokemon like M-Lopunny and Talonflame for Tornadus-T is just icing on the cake.

Bleezus Azumarill

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EV's: 172 HP/ 252 Atk/ 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Play Rough
-Waterfall
-Aqua Jet
-Knock Off

So I see everybody nominating Pokemon that need Torn-T to help them against certain faster threats and whatever resisted their STABs, and I think to myself about a common pair on offensive teams: Torn + Azu.

AV Tornadus-T is helpful to Azumarill because it puts a lot of pressure on Azu's checks, like threatening to KO Gengar, the Lati's, Mega Venasaur, Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, etc. It also provides something that can switch in and take a hit when Azu needs to kept healthy. Finally, Torn-T's U-Turns help provide Azumarill with the safe switch-ins it needs to demolish teams.

In return, Azumarill hits slower pokemon such as Slowbro, Clefable, and Hippowdon hard, and generally is able to 2HKO many of the fat mons that Torn-T struggles against. It pressures certain offensive threats like ScarfTar and Weavile that prey on Torn-T, and its priority helps beat OU's fastest attackers like Mega Zam, Mega Aero, and Scarf/Sand Rush Exca.

Obviously these mons have difficulty with Pokemon such as Scizor and most electrics; a third member to check those, such as Garchomp, is very helpful.

On a side note, I've used this pair many times on offensive teams to great success.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 244 Atk / 12 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Freeze-Dry

Mamoswine takes on Raikou, Thundurus and Hippowdon which wall Tornadus-T while Tornadus-T checks Keldeo, Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn which annoys Mamoswine. Freeze-Dry also allows Mamoswine to hit Rotom-W hard. U-turn from Tornadus-T allows Mamoswine to pressure the opponent hard because of its great STAB combination.

Charizard @ Charizardite
Aility: Solar Power
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 160 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake / Flare Blitz
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

Torn-T is vulnerable to Electric-types, certain Steel-types like Metagross, Jirachi, Klefki, and either Skamroy or Heatran depending on the set. Bulky Charizard-X deals wth a lot of these threats pretty well, and can lure troublesome Pokemon like Hippowdon or Scarf Landorus-T with WoW. It also acts as a check to Weavile, which can force Tornadus out.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge

ScarfTran is an excellent partner since it can switch-in on Ground-type moves aimed at Heatran (and defeat them if it had Grass Knot) as well as beat Fighting-types as well as check Keldeo which Heatran hates.

Okay, Sableye

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 250 HP / 116 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Foul Play / Metal Burst / Toxic
Sableye handles physical attackers with its amazing prankster Will-o-Wisp. It can Knock Off pesky items that give trouble to teammates (Chansey's Eviolite anyone?) And with its wonderful ability in Magic Bounce post-mega, it can block hazards and reliably with foul play stop Talonflame and Charizard-X from set-up

Raikou for me, be done in a few minutes.

Raikou @ Assault Vest
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Ice
- Shadow Ball

AV Raikou forms a volt-turn core with Tornadus-T, and has the bulk to threaten electrics like Thundurus and Mega Manectric that destroy Tornadus. Raik also checks Talonflame and fat waters while Torn checks Mega Venusaur, Ferrothorn, and a weakened Excadrill.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Stone Edge

Hippo helps Tornadus-T against Electric-types and Zard-X while Tornadus-T can take on Keldeo and Grass-types for Hippowdon. Hippo also acts as a check against Bisharp, Talonflame and Magnezone, all of which are annoying to Tornadus-T.
