Yea and it has more speed than Jolly Scarf Chomp or maxed out Deoxys-S when its under the rain.

The big 3 Rain abusers IMO are Kindra, Ludicolo and Kabutops:

Kingdra: is actually the easiest of them to stop as far as I have seen, extremely bulky waters (CM Suicune, Hypnosis Milotic, Empoleon) can wall it or at least slow it down enough to cripple it or make LO recoil add up, and faster Swift Swimmers (and extremely fast Scarfers) can revenge it.
It is still incredibly powerful though.

Ludicolo: Not a straight forward sweeper like the other two, but unlike the others you can't wear it down or wait for LO recoil to add up due to its leach seed fitting onto the now Rain Danceless set. It can outspeed and 1-2KO all but the bulkiest sweepers, and good luck trying to 1KO it back. All the strongest Sp. walls are worn down by Leach Seed which lets it recover health at an alarming rate against a Snorlax or Blissey.
Possibly the most threatening, it will slowly stall through your walls and blast through you sweepers if you don't have one of the few Pokemon that can take a double STAB Surf, a Ice Beam, or a STAB Grass Knot and 1KO it back.

Kabutops:
As Mekkah said after a SD its Waterfall is stupidly powerful, it has the power to 2KO virtually all physical walls, and 1KOs a good number of very bulky Pokemon (Snorlax, Hippwodon, Blissey) and the few Pokemon that can take 2 double STAB hits from 722 attack still have to risk the 20% flinch from Waterfall, which also has 100% accuracy. To back it up it has STAB Stone Edge and a choice of X-Scissor, Brick Break, or Return.
Swift Swim gives it greater speed than maxed out Deoxys-S, not something that can be beaten to easily, in fact you need to approach Scarf Gengar speed to outspeed Kabutops in the rain.
Extremely deadly if you let it get a SD, really once it has set up it is almost gg time.

Notable others:
Specs Omastar (SS and 115 base Sp. attack)
CB/LO Floatzel (Stupidly fast with rain, I am talking faster than a boosted Ninjask here. decent attack/movepool for CB)
Specs Gorebyss (1 less sp. attack than Omstar, better movepool and typing, SS)
Qwilfish (fast BOOM and Toxi Spikes setup, also SD)
CB Relicanth (STAB Head Smash (will take recoil due to having SS>Rock Head) off almost 600 attack+over 400 speed FTW)
Toxicroak (nice immunity and healing from the boosted water attacks, and a 12.5% healing from rain. Many possible sets.)
DD/CB Gyrados

anything else?

Haha eric Relicanth can't have Rock Head and Swift Swim at the same time xDD

Also Toxicroak, it recovers a lot of HP during the rain and always gets a free switchin on water moves.

Kabutops: As Mekkah said after a SD its Waterfall is stupidly powerful, it has the power to 2KO virtually all physical walls
To add to that, note that Kabutops is faster than anything (as you said) and has 100% accuracy and 20% flinch to back this up.

Well, Timid, scarfed gengar can switch in on the SD and 1HKO Kabutops with thunder bolt or focus blast, so long as kabutops is Adamant. Specs deoxys-E puts a bit of pain on with focus blast as well. I don't think tops likes any of the hitmons too much, considering they each learn mach punch and have something to boost it with (or you can intimidate him, wtver). Swampert can threaten roar or earthquake if you have CB or something, although he'll take a chunk from waterfall. Those are the main counters I can think of currently.

I run sash so that only weakens it.

Well in the rain Kabutops is faster than maxed out Deoxys-S.

Sash ruins then as well, none of the hitmon's are going to take a SD Waterfall.
Swampert can threaten roar or earthquake if you have CB or something, although he'll take a chunk from waterfall. Those are the main counters I can think of currently.
I don't think Swampert can survive a SD Waterfall.
Really almost nothing can switch into it and live, what some things can do is revenge wall it, like switch in after a kill survive a hit and KO back.

Tangrowth can make a decent switch into Kabutops, as can Quagsire as it doesn't have to worry about a SD Waterfall and resists Stone Edge and it can shrug off X-Scissor and Brick Break. They can both hit back with a STAB Power Whip/Leaf Storm or Earthquake though. Though they don't have the best recovery (Tangrowth can't Morning Sun in the rain, and all Quag has is Leftovers gain. =/).

Here's a log of me facing eric earlier today. This was the third battle (I had lost twice, but we both forgot to save them). I was using a Clear team while he was using a Blue (lv 78 Kyorge team):

I was SwiftSwim Ludi weak, while he was Revenankh weak, as I think he pointed out several times in this battle. They would have been different (he probably would have won still though) had I remembered to put Sash on my Syclant in those battles though.

The other two battles were him slowly beating Revenankh because of small mistakes on my part and then sweeping with Ludi.

Hah, after my first battle with eric, I've also incorporated an Air Lock Revenankh. It seems like a very good counter to rain teams.

air lock revenankh would probably be up there for the best kabutops counter.

The main problem I've encountered using kyogre is that it is hard to keep alive and that teams with auto-sand can simply just keep wearing it down because it is hard to switch it in and ttar and hippowdon are going to outsurvive it almost every time and ruin your whole strategy.

Even if a Max HP / Defense Revenankh is used, Watefall from Kabutops 2HKO's after a Swords Dance. And yes, I did remember Air Lock neuters the Rain boost.

The best Kabutops counter is Quagsire, who has Water Absorb, a resistance to Rock, and only a 10% chance of being 2HKO'd by a boosted X-Scissor.

Hey, if it's not to late could i join the brown team? I have a sandstorm team already and i want to put it to good use with the cap project.

That's still better than a lot of things, Empoleon takes a beating from waterfall but is still one of the best counters.

Well I just had a decent match with Jrrrr(don't know how many rrr's), it shows that a rain team can hold its own against a team with sand even if Kyorge goes down.

Someone needs to start posting some Sun logs. So far I recall one, but that's nothing compared to the infinite Rain logs. Perhaps I'll have time later today or tomorrow to do a little sun testing...

Is Toxicroak a Kabutops counter? Same with Poliwrath?

Both are Immune to Waterfall, and resistant to both X-Scissor and Stone Edge.

Toxicroak also resists Brick Break.
Not to mention they both pack STAB fighting moves.

So unless Kabutops packs Return (or even Sash+Flail) then I don't see them dieing so easily.

****
Also, let's bring up Roserade, as no1 talked about him yet...

Weatherball let's it get a boost (doubling from a Normal 50 BP move to a 100 BP move with its type according to the weather) in all weather conditions.

In addition, Roserade benefits from certain weather:

Rain : Is now nuetral to fire, AND gets a 100 + Rain Boost= 150 Base Power Special Water Attack, essentially giving it an attack even stronger than an unboosted STAB Surf, which lets it hit Fire types super effective off base 130 Special Attack. This literally means that under rain it can counter what would normally counter it.

Sun: It is now even more weak to fire (3x weak versus 2x), but gets a boost on Synthesis to heal 66%, and gets a 100 + Sun Boost = 150 Base Power Special Fire Attack, essentially giving it an attack even stronger than an unboosted STAB Flamethrower.

Weatherball now now lets it hit Ice types super effective off base 130 Base Special attack, not to mention Bug/Grass/Steel types that would normally switch in on its Grass moves. This means that Weather Ball with a base of 150 does more damage than a super effective Hidden Power (70 x 2 = 140). Also, Roserade can now switch into some of its former counters (Switch into Steel types that expect a Hidden Power Ice/Grass Knot, and take a Fire Weather Ball).

Additionally, Roserade gets to use its always STAB 120 Base Power (unless Sandstorm is in effect making it only 60 BAse Power), Solar Beam without charge.

Hail: Takes Hail damage, but gets a 100 Base Power Special Ice Attack, essentially giving it an attack even stronger than an unboosted Ice Beam. This lets it kill things that would normally counter Roserade: i.e. Flying, Dragon, and Grass types. (Scarf would probably be the best item). This also removes the need for it to have a Hidden Power Ice, freeing up its choices for having another Hidden Power.

Sandstorm: Takes Sandstorm damage, but gets a 100 Base Power Special Rock attack, essentially giving it a special version of Stone Edge with 100% accuracy! This also lets it kill things that would normally counter Roserade: i.e. Flying, Fire, and Ice types. Don't forget that Rock Weather Ball is the strongest special Rock attack in the entire game.

I've decided to change how I implement turn-limited weather for the test. This is for several reasons.

1) I can create a new species, but it will be a pain to remove later. Any teams that refer to the removed species could cause problems for the server. I don't want that.

2) Since Pyroak is about to be implemented, I really don't want to "steal it's thunder" by having THREE new species added at the bottom of the list. I want Pyroak to be the "New" pokemon, not these weather-testing pokes.

3) New species are bound to draw attention from other users, and I really want this test limited to the testing team.

4) I considered adding Groudino and Kyogrette somewhere in the middle of the list (right after Groudon and Kyogre), to make them less conspicuous. But that may cause problems, since I've never done that before.

5) There's a MUCH simpler solution staring me in the face....

I'm just going to give Groudon and Kyogre each an additional new ability -- Dry Spell and Wet Spell.

If you want some visual indication of what you are facing we can just agree to use shinies for the turn-limited versions. Also, we can just agree to nickname the turn-limited versions as Groudino and Kyogrette, so the opposition will know.

If someone is building an uber team and stumbles on the new ability, that's fine. They'll quickly discover it sucks compared to Drizzle and Drought. Later, when the ability is removed, the server will handle it fine.

This will make a minimal impact on the server, Pyroak will be the new star of the show, and we can still test multiple forms of auto-weather. Let me know if you see any problems with this.

Why make new, when you can Renew?

Why not just make the weaker versions of these pokemon get the temporary Dry/Wet Spell ability instead of even bothering with weaker/lower level versions of Groudon/Kyogre?

Specifically give it to Camerupt and Wailord.

This is the spread for the adjusted Groudon's stats (minus 30 each) in Dane's post on the first page:

70 / 120 / 110 / 70 / 60 / 60

Compare to Camerupt's natural Base Stat spread:

70/ 100 / 70 / 105 / 75 / 40

Camerupt has similar moves, has 30 less Base Stats (460) in total versus Groudon's (490), and just makes the most sense, as they are very similar in general. Camerupt is also good because he is immune to Sandstorm, but not too good because even under sunlight, he is still 2x weak to water in exchange for not having a Solar Beam (Grass) weakness like Groudon. Additionally, unlike Groudon, he is resistant to fire (which is the type he boosts), so it kind of makes him more like a Kyogre in the sense that he wont be as easily swept by his own type (barring Eqs).

Here is Kyogre's adjust stats ( minus 30 each)

70 / 70 / 60 / 120 / 110 / 60

Compare to Wailord:

170 / 90 / 45 / 90 / 45 / 60

While Wailord has a total of 500 in its Base Stats compared to Kyogre's 490 (10 more), but keep in mind Wailord does not get Thunder, does not get Calm Mind, nor does it have even close to the same base special attack. It does, however, get Selfdestruct, and the potential to attack from both sides.

Wailord can also serve Kyogre's purpose as a Scarf Water Spouter, which is nice to have as there is less change to expect.

*Dry/Wet Spell would be their ability, and would negate the need to discuss whether to give Eruption/Water Spout (as these both come with that move naturally).

Camerupt and Wailord have nothing in common with Groudon and Kyogre.

Your own post makes it abundanty clear.

Furthermore, there's no point in adjusting already existing pokemon allowed in Standard/UU play. The reason we're using Groudon and Kyogre is because they are Uber and therefore banned from standard play.

What i've noticed during testing is that defensive versions of Omastar work extremely well in Rain and Sandstorm. In rain, Surf and speed is boosted, and in Sand, It's pitiful Special Defense is boosted, making it quite hard to take down sometimes. I'm going to try to take advantage of that and Kabutops in a Sand/Rain team.

Rain seems pretty damned powerful at the moment, sun much less so. Then again, I've only done three battles at the moment, but I'll try and get a couple more in.
